OUR AWARDS

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BECOME

Sebastian

"I have grown in and with the company—with new challenges, the responsibility I was given early on, with every new project, and in every new position."

I started my two-and-a-half-year traineeship as an industrial clerk at Eckert & Ziegler 20 years ago and took on very important tasks right from the start. In our training program, trainees pass through various departments before concentrating on a specific specialist area in the final months before graduation. In this way, I was able to gain a variety of insights, try out different activities, and get to know lots of people.

"I was able to visit my favorite department a second time during the specialization phase at the end of my training and started there straight after graduating."

I really enjoyed the training period. The mixture of theory and practice was perfect and I was able to get to know my strengths and weaknesses. My contacts were always there for me. My colleagues in the specialist departments also took a lot of time to explain everything to me. I was welcome everywhere. It was also great that my interests, strengths, and preferences were taken into account during the training.

"I was able to visit my favorite department a second time during the specialization phase at the end of my training and started there straight after graduating."

I started at Eckert & Ziegler as a trainee IT specialist for system integration and was integrated into the team as a fully-fledged member right from the start. Even as a trainee, I was given responsibility and was able to set up the new IT infrastructure at other locations, for example. My trainer had a lot of confidence in me and I was able to take on responsibility for important projects early on. I now train trainees myself. Although, we actually do it as a team, but I'm responsible for it. And that's what I like to be. I pass on the appreciation and trust that was shown to me at Eckert & Ziegler from the very beginning to young people today.

"If you have an affinity for technology and medicine, you've come to the right place."

When I was looking for a traineeship as an industrial clerk in the early 2000s, I had two offers. I chose Eckert & Ziegler—firstly because I was interested in the medical field and secondly because it is an international company. Work preparation, dispatch, quality control—during my training, I got to know all of this and, above all, the people who work there. That was a great experience. Because that way I knew from the start who I could talk to about which topic. It also helps to understand how other departments work and why."
