Numerous opportunities and possibilities
20 years ago, I started my two-and-a-half-year training as an industrial clerk at Eckert & Ziegler and took on very responsible tasks right from the start. In our training program, trainees pass through various departments before concentrating on a specific specialist area in the last three months before graduation. In this way, I was able to gain a variety of insights, try out different activities, and get to know lots of people.
Every day is different
After graduation, I went to the service department. My job was to make sure that surgical equipment was available for I-125 brachytherapy. For example, I spoke to suppliers, set up my own warehouse, and coordinated maintenance appointments with customers and partners. The work was very varied: When I came into the office in the morning, I never knew what the day would bring. My desire for further development led me to study business administration part-time at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences, and Eckert & Ziegler supported me financially in this endeavor.
Always growing
After a few more years in service and a short stint in production, the position of product manager opened up and I knew: This is the perfect next step in my career. Today I work as a product manager in radiopharmacy. You can really say: I have grown in and with the company—with new challenges, the responsibility I was given early on, with every new project, and in every new position.
